How Six Adults Compare One Seoul Suite vs Two Hotel Rooms

Six adults should compare the final payable total for the whole stay rather than two nightly headline rates: price each option for the same dates, all six adults, the same cancellation terms and every per-person or per-room add-on. Then weigh the costs that change with the layout, such as breakfast for six, laundry and the number of bathrooms in the morning. In Dongdaemun, Long Weekend Haus DDP is one option to price this way, with a Maru Suite of two bedrooms and three double beds for up to six adults and a Penthouse of three bedrooms and two bathrooms for up to eight.

Compare occupancy, add-on charges and cancellation terms before doubling a hotel rate.

Where the headline rates mislead

Occupancy. A displayed rate often covers a base number of guests. On Stayfolio's listing for Longweekend Haus, the Maru Suite shows a standard occupancy of three with a maximum of six, and the Penthouse a standard of four with a maximum of eight. A price shown for the base count may differ from the price for six, so enter all six adults before reading any figure. Hotel rooms work the same way. Two rooms set up for two guests each hold four people, so six adults usually need triple rooms or extra beds, and each is priced separately.

Known suite supplements. The official Long Weekend Haus DDP page sets an extra-person charge of ₩10,000/night above the base count. Six adults in Maru are three above its base of three: ₩30,000/night. Six in the Penthouse are two above its base of four: ₩20,000/night. Across five nights those increments are ₩150,000 and ₩100,000. They are not accommodation rates and do not prove which suite is cheaper. If checkout already includes them, do not add them again.

Hotel-room occupancy. Mercure Ambassador Seoul Dongdaemun’s official Privilege Triple lists three single beds and a maximum of three guests. Two available Triple rooms therefore illustrate a six-adult, six-bed comparison. Two ordinary double-occupancy rooms do not. Obtain the actual two-room booking total, including any charges shown for that rate.

Cancellation and payment. Compare refundable with refundable. LWH’s official page currently shows a plan with free cancellation until 14 days before check-in alongside a nonrefundable option; read the selected plan’s written terms. A lower nonrefundable price buys different flexibility. Record the payment currency and final taxes or service charges shown at checkout, without assuming a future tax refund.

What the invoice leaves out

Sleeping arrangements carry a cost of their own. In the Maru Suite, six adults share three double beds across two bedrooms, according to the official Long Weekend Haus DDP page. It is 44m², with a kitchen, dining area and washer-dryer. That suits three couples or friends already comfortable sharing a bed. Six friends who each want their own bed should compare against twin or triple hotel rooms instead.

Bathrooms matter for early starts. The Maru Suite has one bathroom per the Stayfolio listing, while two hotel rooms give the group two. The Penthouse closes that gap with two bathrooms and adds a third bedroom. Its higher maximum does not establish that its quote for six costs more; compare the actual totals.

A suite gives the group one shared kitchen and table. The two-couple bedroom guide covers sleeping privacy.

Cases where two rooms make more sense

  • Everyone wants a separate fixed bed, and the selected hotel categories provide six.
  • The group needs separate bathrooms and cannot find a suitable two-bathroom suite for its dates.
  • Someone prefers staffed reception or daily housekeeping over kiosk arrival.
  • The matched final quote is lower or has cancellation terms worth paying for.

Under-19 guests are permitted at LWH with a guardian and cannot stay unaccompanied. LWH’s first-floor kiosk accepts arrivals from 15:00, including late-night arrival without a cutoff; checkout is 11:00. Support is through guest-web messages or the booking OTA, rather than a guaranteed staffed desk.

Checklist before paying

  1. Search with six adults entered, never the base occupancy.
  2. Read the bed list: how many doubles, singles or extra beds.
  3. Count bathrooms against the group's morning schedule.
  4. Open the final booking summary for service charges and currency.
  5. Match the cancellation deadline across both options.
  6. Confirm arrival instructions and how the booking channel accepts payment.

To price the suite side, open the Long Weekend Haus DDP room page, enter your dates and six adults, and check the layout, availability and cancellation terms before setting the total beside your two-room quote.

FAQ

Should six adults compare three standard rooms too?

Yes, using the same sheet with three units. Three conventional rooms usually add a third bathroom. Count any per-room charges for three units and breakfast for all six adults.

Does a longer stay change which option is cheaper?

It can. Breakfast and laundry lines grow with every night, so in-unit facilities matter more on a five-night stay than on a single night. LWH advertises a 10% benefit for stays of three nights or more; check whether your chosen quote qualifies. Do not assume discount stacking.

Is the official site always cheaper than a booking platform?

No channel is reliably cheaper. Compare the same room, dates, guest count and cancellation terms on each, and compare the final currency charged. LWH accepts UnionPay on its official site; Alipay and WeChat Pay are not supported there, but are available through Trip.com.
